Business meeting with engaged team

For the first time in Asia Pacific, we organised an entire week that was dedicated to Emergenetics learning just for our associates. It was created with our associates’ development and professional growth in mind, and with the objective to bring associates closer together, to connect better and to grow as a team.

And what a week it was! With four jam-packed back-to-back events, there was something for every associate and every thinking and behavioural preferences.

Let us take a look at some the highlights from the week…

Day 1

Emergenetics APAC Symposium

22 August 2016
Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre

The week kicked off with a full-day learning symposium at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre! We had

  • 2 amazing keynote presentations from two remarkable women from Emergenetics International, Dr. Geil Browning, CEO and Founder, and Chris Cox, Vice President of Training and Development
  • 6 fast, to-the-point Lightning Talks from our talented speakers
  • 4 wonderful Master Clinics by experts in their fields
  • 1 intimate dialogue session with Dr. Geil Browning[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_gallery type=”flexslider_fade” onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self” interval=”0″ images=”13595,13596,13597,13598,13599,13600,13601,13602,13603,13604,13605,13606″ img_size=”800×800″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]There were many learning takeaways from the sessions, including these:

  • The 3 questions you need to ask yourself
  • The benefits and process of effective teaming
  • How to create a happy culture in the workplace that still gives results
  • The effect of Emergenetics in the hospitality industry
  • How to close the gap between strategy and execution
  • 3 ways to engage with the millennial
  • Real-life applications of Emergenetics in the workplace
  • What data can tell you about the future of the workplace

And how did the participants find the whole session?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

“I like that someone mentioned that Emergenetics is a lifestyle, not just a tool to be used, then thrown away or forgotten. And that resonated with me so well. Moving forward, I will be more intentional in how I view Emergenetics in my day-to-day go-abouts, and really allow it to be a part of my daily habit.”[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

“The Emergenetics experience – we learnt and had fun at the same time. The different topics engaged the participants according to their needs.”[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Yet learning from the speakers was not the only takeaway they had. Many associates from all across the region came together to connect, and learn from each other. And that is what Emergenetics is meant to do – to connect people despite their differences, and truly harnessing the power and potential of the team.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_single_image image=”13617″ img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”800×800″ alignment=”center”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Day 2

Emergenetics at Work: Tips, Frameworks and Tools

23 August 2016
The Learning Space @ 23A Keong Saik Road

Day 2 was another full day of learning! Starting at the crack of 9 o’clock, our 21 Emergenetics associates were all ready to begin their learning with Master Associates, Terence Quek and Colin Yeow, the ultimate WEteam!

The participants learnt what the Emergenetics tool can do in an organisation, other than being just a communication tool. Frameworks on how to craft your own customized Emergenetics solution for clients were shared, to which our participants had hands-on practice in creating their own. Tips on facilitation techniques were also shared as well as a brand new resource in the form of a fun and useful card-game called ‘WEplay’ was also introduced!

Learning through games are often effective in helping learners understand concepts easily as well as retain the knowledge they have gained.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”13618″ img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”800×800″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”13622″ alignment=”center” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”800×800″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Days 3-5

Emergenetics for Youth Training Programme

24-25 August 2016
ParkRoyal on Pickering

Emergenetics Advanced Certification

24-26 August 2016
The Learning Space @ 23A Keong Saik Road

Days 3 to 5 of WEweek was intense! We had two programmes running concurrently for our associates! When you have two amazing women from the Emergenetics International home office, you simply must grab the opportunity to learn from them!

Marie Unger, Vice President of Education of Emergenetics International was one of two such women, who led the Emergenetics for Youth Training Programme for our enthusiastic associates who were eager to learn what makes youth tick! Marie delved into the nuances of the young adult’s thinking and behaviourial preferences and shared ways to engage them effectively to harness their true potential.

This new programme was well received by the participants who found the session both enlightening and informative. Plus, Marie was a delight to learn from, with her boundless energy and impeccable wisdom and knowledge of youth.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”13623″ alignment=”center” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”800″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]At the same time, Chris Cox, Vice President of Training and Development of Emergenetics International, led another group of dedicated associates who were eager to learn wider and deeper of the science and application of Emergenetics. This three day programme was filled with exciting activities, thoughtful reflections and endless possibilities! Chris shared not only her wealth of experience in the training industry but also her infectious enthusiasm of Emergenetics and training!

The participants were well equipped with knowledge, new skills, new activities and great positivity. Thank you Chris Cox, for sharing your skills and knowledge with us![/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”13624″ alignment=”center” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”800″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Five days, four events, and a great amount of learning for our associates. Yet the one lesson we can all gain from this experience is how important it is to connect with each other, learn from one and other, and work together to build stronger capabilities. This week was testament to the effectiveness of the saying:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

“Together we can face any challenges as deep as the ocean and as high as the sky.”

– Sonia Gandhi
